Clothingline: Plenty of Theory Not So Much Helmut Lang

In keeping with tradition, Clothingline kicked off it’s bi-annual Helmut Lang/Theory Irregular sample sale this morning at 11 am offering women’s clothing is from Helmut Lang and Theory, with a limited selection of clothing from Theory for Men.

Prices from both brands for women are the same as last years. Outerwear is priced at $125, tops, tees, shorts, and skirts are $45, dresses are $65, and blazers/vests are priced  at $85.

As usual, the Helmut Lang section of the sale was very picked over. There were a few black blazers (mostly in sizes 6-8, and a few 0’s), white blazers with leather off white leather sleeves though sizes and quantities are scarce. left There were some interesting sample pieces such are drapey bright colored dresses and yellow sample blazers, and shorts. The only section that seemed promising were the pants section from Helmut Lang. The sale boasted at least four racks of pants and leggings in a variety of colors and textures.

The Theory portion of the sale is more promising, offering more clothing choices for work wear. Even the mens’ section although limited had a healthy selection of basic tees, button down shirts, pants, and blazers. For women, blazers are available in basic neutrals and colors in sizes 0-12. Lots of denim jackets, shirts and dresses, along with career appropriate dresses and button shirts, and blouses.
