Clothingline kicked off its week long Theory sample sale this morning at 10:00 AM 9:40 AM. Shortly after arriving at 9:03 AM; a long line of cult followers of Theory began to form behind me. Despite arriving nearly an hour early; there was some major line cutting this morning. Line cutting is always inevitable at these types of sample sales (e.g. Jimmy Choo, & Manolo Blahnik), nonetheless it is still very annoying. One woman in particular called everyone she knew to join her in line for the opening of the sample sale. Two other women behind me shared my frustration as we watched her mother, her friend, and her friend’s friend join her in line within a span of 30 minutes. Needless to say, when the doors opened early; the three of us sighed in relief to know that the line cutting had ceased.
Once inside, women are greeted with a plethora of clothing in various sizes (00 -12, and PS-L) from Theory, Theyskens’ Theory, and the brand’s newest line Theory 38; which mostly consist of sleek and sporty urban influenced attire (pictured). The men’s section of the sale is limited to one rack; mostly consisting of button down shirts in basic neutrals and blues (pictured), and a few sweaters (pictured). There are also bags in various sizes and colors, and some shoes as well (pictured). There is small area for trying on shoes, and the starting price for shoes is $79.
Jantine silk blouses are $69 (Org. $190); Quanda Stretch Cotton Dresses are $99 (Org. $275, pictured), Macaire L Leather Jackets are $299 (Org. $795, pictured), Joji Bistretch Jackets in Bare Rose are $139 (Org. $355); and Elowen Priceless Dresses are $99 (Org. $295). Theory and Theyskens’ Theory Tees are $29, Theyskens’ Theory Sano skirts are $ 159 (Org. $359); Theyskens’ Theory Boma Blouses are $79, (Org. $250); and bags are $159 (Org. $ 650 and up; pictured).
The sale will run until 5/19 and the good news is that they will be RESTOCKING throughout the sale and are expecting to RECEIVE NEW MERCHANDISE this Wednesday and Thursday!
