Rising as early as the sun on a weekend; especially on a Sunday may not seem worthwhile, unless you were at the Helmut Lang sample sale at Clothingline. There was an abundance of merchandise from the brand’s Spring/Summer 2013 season.
This sale was very organized by size and category. With prices at 60% off retail, blouses, tees, and sweaters seemed to offer the best prices. Most knits are under $100 – tees and tanks are $39, jersey knit skirts $49, sweaters are $79, and blouses are $89.
There were a lot of tailored blazers and jackets in black, color blocked, and medallion prints at $199.There were a ton of Cinder Wool jackets (Org, $655), Medallion Jacquard Jackets, and Sugar Jackets. All leather jackets are $399; which includes the Pax Leather Color Blocked Jacket (Org. $1,255), and the Rift Stretch Leather Jacket (Org. $1,355).
If you fancy bottoms, then you are in luck. Many of the blazers have matching shorts. Shorts are $129, chic dress pants are $179, and denim are $79. Helmut Lang’s coveted leather leggings were also spotted at the sample sale. A really nice pair of embossed leather leggings in plum, and black are selling for $299 (Org. $990). Dresses ranged from simple jersey knit dresses starting at $119 to more elaborate styles at $249. Small accessories are $59 and bags are $159.
The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable, and I was pleased to know that they will RESTOCKING throughout the sale!
As an added gift, everyone receives a Micro Modal Bra, Micro Modal Cami, or Micro Modal Triangular Bra at the register regardless of the shopper’s purchase amount. However, shoppers who spent $250 or more are allowed to get a second freebie; a black Micro Modal Bra or a black Micro Modal Bra Tank with the same, all while supplies last.
