On April 25th I decided to stop by the Kimberly Ovitz Sample Sale in downtown Manhattan. I’ve never heard of this fashion designer before and I was curious to see what fabulous finds I would come across.
The prices at the Kimberly Ovitz sample sale were unbelievably low.
- Kimberly Ovitz Collection were $25
- O by Kimberly Ovitz were $15
- Damage/Samples $10
- Shoes $25
As soon as I entered the showroom I spotted a stunning pair of Alejandro Ingelmo Crosby leather boots; (retails $695) for only $25. Yes, that’s right only $25 and I snagged the last pair in my size! As I investigated and dug through the racks of clothing; I noticed a lot neutral colored bottoms, tops, denim, outerwear, sweaters, and dresses. The Meta skirt in a jewel tone emerald color and some Altyn tops. The O by Kimberly Ovitz line mostly consisted of comfy sweats, t-shirts and tank tops. One dress managed to catch my attention from the corner of my eye. It was a gold sequins Macon dress with a dramatic open back. I tried it on and it fit me well, so the dress ended up being a keeper as well. Before leaving the sample sale, I decided to take a look at the garments in the damage/sample bins. This required some patience, but after carefully inspecting each garment I uncovered a sexy suede bustier in black. There was still a lot of nice clothing left on the racks while I was getting ready to pay. However, I was told that they would not be restocking the sample sale.
I came to the sample sale not knowing what I would find and it exceeded my expectations, and with prices this good I look forward to the next Kimberly Ovitz sample sale!
