Clothingline certainly delivered on its Blowout Multi-Designer Sample Sale today. The sample sale which started on Tuesday June 25th featured designer clothing at rock bottom prices from Showroom Seven, R13, Free People, and so much more. The first two days of the sale was calm, but with today being its last day, hoards of women and a few men filled the 2nd floor as they shopped and saved on designer clothing with discounts up to 98% off retail.
R13’s well-known skinny leather chap jeans (a favorite among celebrities like Cassie, and Rhianna) were reduced to $50 from its opening day price of $150, Org. $795 – $895. The leather pants section was unbelievably discounted and leather pants were going very quickly; by the afternoon all of the black leather pants and leggings were sold out. Only a few pairs of rare R13 Cracked Leather Leggings in White remained at $50, Org. $1,495 (The black version is selling online at ForwardForward) – trust me your eyes are NOT playing tricks on you. With prices that good it’s no wonder why leather pants were flying of the racks! Shorts were reduced to $50 from its opening day price of $150, leather jackets were marked-down from $250 to $100, Org. $895 and up, but the denim section seemed to have offered the best discount at $25 a pair, Org. $325.
The rest of the space was dedicated to fashion brands from Showroom Seven; all styles were either 2 for $20 or $15 ea. Gryphon mostly consisted of jackets, trench coats, sequins tops and outerwear. The La Fee Verte racks were filled with silk dresses, blouses, rompers, and pants in geometric patterns. Twenty had casual knit tank tops and tees in neutral and earthy tones. Three racks of Cynthia Rowley boasted blouses in vibrant colors, form fitting dresses, and scuba-inspired pants and tops. Free People had colorful tees and tanks, and summer dresses. Bins of ThursdayFriday canvas bags were starting at $14, and all of the shoes were $30 apart from Bloch shoes which were $40.
Upon leaving, I noticed that there was still an abundance of merchandise out and almost no one left the sample sale empty-handed.
